Performing in musicals from an early age, Jen discovered such masters like Cole Porter, Rogers and Hart, and the Gershwin Brothers while she was still in high school. After graduating with an honors degree in performance from Penn State, she moved to New Orleans to further her jazz studies (and drink Hurricanes) before coming to Chicago.
Since her arrival in Chicago,
Jen has impressed audiences with her diverse repertoire and arresting
voice. The Illinois Entertainer calls her a cross between "the
great Anne Ross and Rickie Lee Jones." Over the
past
seven years, she has performed hundreds of times throughout the area as a solo performer and featured vocalist for several of the city's finest orchestras, as well as performances at Chicago Singer Spotlight and Chick Singer Night. Since February of 2005, she has been the featured entertainer every Friday and Saturday in the Palm Court of Chicago's famous Drake Hotel.
